Though it doesn’t feel as dramatic a shift as Frozen Wilds was to Zero Dawn, he found the storytelling and character-building to be a significant plus, and its incredibly cinematic final boss makes the game a worthy addition to the series.Ĭoncluding his review, Hallahan praises how quick the DLC is to get through and expresses excitement for where the series can go from here. ![]() On the final boss battle, he notes, “It rivals boss fights in so many other triple-A blockbusters out there right now, setting a new bar for the biggest upcoming current-gen games.”ĭespite the lackluster beginning, Hallahan found the DLC expansion to be well worth his time and effort. While Hallahan worried that Burning Shores would feel a little disappointing, especially compared to the pedigree of the series, he was happy to be proven wrong.
